Because Jessica Alba's father was in the Air Force, the Alba family did their
fair share of moving. Jessica Alba was born in Pomona, California
but soon relocated to Biloxi, Mississippi. Later, the Alba family packed

their bags for Del Rio, Texas. It wasn't until Jessica Marie Alba was nine
that she and her family finally settled in southern California.
Jessica Alba's Acting Dream

Jessica Alba had dreamed of being an actress since she was five,
but it wasn't until Jessica was 12 that she took her first drama course.
Alba was a natural and landed an agent only nine months after that first class.

In 1993, Jessica Alba got a part in the flick Camp Nowhere.
Originally, Jessica Alba was hired for a much smaller role that would only require two
weeks of work. Alba lucked out when the main actress dropped out and
they gave the part to her. It wasn't her talent that was the key factor in

and super-human abilities. The show has become a
big hit its first season, but tanked in its second season,
leaving Jessica Alba and her then-finace Michael Weatherly unemployed.
