Nina began modelling with the Midiken agency when she was 20 years old, having already become 'Miss Croatia' in 1996 . She then participated in the 1996 Elite 'Look of the Year' contest and came third.
She starred in the music video for Ricky Martin's "Livin' la vida loca" single and also made her debut as a singer in 2000, recording a single called "Star".
